Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues – Review

Anchorman 2 is definitely a sequel. It’s not just the “2” in the title that’ll tip you off but the stakes, the glut of cameos, and the sheer number of nods to Burgundy et. al’s first outing.

This is rarely a problem considering Ferrell and McKay’s scattergun approach means there is always a good laugh in the chamber for when the last few didn’t hit.

It’s too long and caters near-exclusively to existing Anchorman fans, but that scarcely matters when so many of the smaller things – and a decent amount of the larger things – are this good.

TL;DR – More of the same but LOUDER AND BAGGIER

CAST: Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, Christina Applegate

SYNOPSIS: Legendary San Diego newsman Ron Burgundy is headhunted to help pioneer twenty-four hour news, but to do so he’ll need to reunite his old team, fend off ambitious rivals and keep his ego in check.

  1. Good review. While it’s clearly not better than the first, there are still more than a few moments where I legitimately found myself laughing. A lot actually.

  2. This was one of the worst movies I have watched in quite sometime. The fist movie was fantastic and I still quote it to this day…

Sadly they played the dumb card the entire movie. Only funny parts were raciest. They couldn’t make up their mind on what they wanted to do with this movie and brought in elements from the first that shouldn’t have been touched.

Sorry this was a waste of time and money. The first movie will forever live in glory but this one will pass away.

If you loved the fist movie I would recommend waiting for DVD or just pass this one.

More about the movie you can also find it here
